Feelings
Sadness is like Taps ringing out on the cool evening breeze,
Happiness is The Best of Times floating into the stadium from the band on the field below,
Classic rock is like a summer day,
Excitement is an enthusiastic crowd,
Anxiously waiting for the band to play,
Boredom is a repetitive song,
Droning on and on.
Depression can be like low drawls of a slow sad song,
Joy is the sound of voices lifted on high,
Worshipping and praising our God.
Fear is an eerie overture, unsettling a packed cathedral,
Love is like a soft sweet song filling a peaceful heart.
Hate is like punk rock piercing an angry storming silence,
Sitting outside on a warm day with Christian rock rolling through the air,
Is peace taking a firm hold.
