A gentle humming breeze catches
The blossom of the apple trees,
Sweet fragrances float as the great boughs
Sigh and sway. Tart on the tongue.
All remnants of the storm have left the sky
And the sun casts a fresh shimmer across the dew sprinkled grass -
A lush carpet of jade and emerald bakes.

I match the garden’s serene yawn,
Keeping time as I release each listless breath;
Symmetry in equilibrium.
As she leans over she whispers, softly;
Her silken sibilance tickles my ear
As the pollen does my nostrils.

What sweet nothings she whispers
Serve their purpose;
Not in content, but in their own, natural way,
Sink tranquil peace right to the bottom of my heart.
