Sense of Wonder (Yellowstone)
Waking up at the first sight of the light of day,
we see the red hue of the early morning October sun,
Leaves change colors as we drive through enduring stretches
of neverending highway, that don't seem to want to want to slow down
Until we reach our destination
We arrive to unexpected white packed snow.
Mountains look over the prairies that halted their growth.
Buffalo graze for a trek through untamed wilderness.
Wildlife prepare for the polar winter that is approaching.
Waterfall collapsing down, like our reality coming out of us.
The fresh, favorable, fitting air going in our bodies
only to blow out amazement at what we are seeing
Bison walk through the light fluffy snow
leaving a path for us to follow
As we wander through the mountains,
We see Old faithful, and geysers erupting
