Soul mates

Across some mountains
and through some woods
he came to me
as I knew he would,
for he is drawn to me
as I am to him.
In life he’s my soul mate,
my lover, my friend.
He is my good half,
and I am his bad,
but without each other
We’d surely go mad.
Our souls are so different.
There’s love and there’s hate,
but during each lifetime
it’s for him that I wait.
Living through lifetimes
both hand in hand.
We’ll stay so forever
until time itself ends.
