Standing on this ledge way up high,
Watching cars far below whiz by,
Feeling all alone in this endless night.

Lean forward, so slightly,
Dizzy vertigo fills my head and stomach with bubbles,
How easy it would be to end all my troubles,
And fall to the pavement like so many pieces of highway litter.

But instead I turn,
And walk away,
Live to die another day.

i keep coming back to your work because you are just amazing :) this piece is soo deep and is filled with tons of emotion. i can think of lots of reasons why someone would be standing on the edge. i think it flows very nicely :) you did a great job with this one! oh and congrats on being published in the mag...you deserve it!

Wow, this is deep. Very good writing. My only suggestion is to replace your punctuation with enjambment. I think the poem would flow better; the commas and periods, to me, seem to interupt the smoothness of the narrator's actions.

Keep up the good work. I love this.

What I want to know is why the person was on the ledge in the first place.
