Was reading the Namesake in school and got real interested in the symbolism of an elephant.

well, nobody likes the reality...I was just suggesting that if you drew the reality, then everyone would be wowed and it would really touch the souls of millions of Indians or anyone who's seen the real India...it was only a suggestion, you draw really well. It's not that I don't appreciate that.. :) Sorry if I sounded offensive or anything.

Ok, I understand that elephants would dislike this, but who wants to look at a tortured and depressed picture of an elephant?  Not to be rude, but that would not be a fun picture.

I'm from India, and I've seen plenty elephants especially because the state I come from is highly populated with elephants compared to others in India. I can tell you, elephants are definitely not happy to be decorated that way...it's very uncomfortable...they have thick chains on their legs too, to keep them from moving...I would have loved it if you showed a different perspective, the REAL one, with the chains, the blank look of despair on its face but beautifully decorated at the same time....just a suggestion, you're really talented at this, so I'd like it if you utilize it to show a more original perspective on things :) keep sketching...

I like the tail, even though elephant's tails are definately not that long.
