Baseball is a great American sport with millions of fans. And, with each fan there is their very favorite team. With teams and fans comes rivalry. Who is going to win the 2011 World Series? Will it be the Saint Louis Cardinals or the Texas Rangers? Baseball fans in general were asked this question: With the Texas Rangers wins the World Series or will it be the Saint Louis Cardinals? The votes for the Cardinals were much higher of an outstanding eighty-seven percent. The reasons the Saint Louis Cardinals will cinch this year’s series are 1- They have emotion but they control it well. 2- They have the endurance, physically and mentally. And last but not least 3- The skills from everyone on the team make it stand out from just any other baseball team. The St. Louis Cardinals have exactly what it takes to take home the pennant, once again.

The St. Louis Cardinals or “Cards” as they are known to their fans know what it takes to win a baseball game; they keep their emotions in check. The players stays focused regardless the upsets and stay mellow, cockiness never gets the best of them either. The Cardinals are individual players but who
move forward as a team, ready for the next play.

Baseball takes a lot of physical endurance; therefore, you must stay fit.
Aside from physical fitness, they have acquired mental endurance as well. The result on the field and up at bats are the result of brute strength and practiced skills. The great team are supportive of each other and seem to genuinely enjoy the intense game they play. With the roar of the crowd from their oh so loyal fans they stay in high spirits which gives much strength to give it their all in the bottom of the ninth with all three bases loaded.

The Cardinals is a well-oiled machine, With the same manager longer then any other U.S sport team, Tony LaRussa comes longevity, with longevity comes consistency. If something is not broken do not fix it. If something works stick with it. Change is good but not always necessary. Not only is the manager one great guy, many of the players from the Saint Louis Cardinals have been honored to be placed in the Hall of Fame, not only in the current season and players, but players from way back when
professional baseball was founded, all the way up to present day. What baseball team can say they have taken pride in saying they have won 10
World Series? Certainly no other team but here, Saint Louis Cardinals, so its
obvious they know what they are doing.

I have all my faith in the Cardinals, not only because of statistics or persuasive advertisers, but because of the way they play their game in every single way. With an outstanding team like the Saint Louis Cardinals, there is not much competition. However, I am not a fortune teller, and perhaps the Cardinals have an off day on the big game day, but I plan on wearing my Cardinal read and hope that besides heart, skill, and drive; luck is on our side.
