Don't you hate it when people around you are so educated and want to go to college? They are all like “I want a productive and happy future”. Who does that? It is much wiser to drop out, search for a job after about three years of living in your parent's house, once you find out you can only get a job at McDonald's you then spend the rest of your life flipping burgers. Although this is not necessarily the exact mindset of someone who doesn't want to go to college, it is a fun parody showing how pointless it is to not continue your education. Every year less and less people are attending college and the human race is slowly having their minds decay. Einstein said, “Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the former.” But there is hope and reasoning in college. Reasons for attending a university are that it helps you Open Doors, Increase salary, and Increase Job Security. It is a shame to lose good minds to laziness when those minds should be matured by a college to become educated, productive members of society.

To begin college help you open doors to opportunity. According to the website ‘collegeatlas’ “About 32% of jobs in the U.S. require an associate or bachelor’s degree” (college-atlas). By earning a degree, you automatically give yourself the opportunity to apply for the job you want or one quite similar instead of having to twist and contort your dreams to fit your current situation. To add  “an additional 14% (of jobs) require a master’s or professional degree.” (college-atlas). Even a bachelor's degree might not be enough to acquire your desired job, Therefore college is an important aspect to what you would like to become and if you want something that requires this degree it is for good reason, such as a surgeon. in addition,  you can “give yourself the opportunity to apply for the 46% of U.S. jobs that require a second degree” (college-atlas). This could be useful in many ways to those who want to be something major like a doctor or a lawyer. Don't let laziness be a stopper under your many doors to open.

Secondly, college will Increase your salary. According to the website ‘collegeatlas.com’ “The Bureau of Labor Statistics research found that, on average, college graduates with a bachelor’s degree typically earn up to 40% more per year than those with a high school diploma”(college-atlas). to call attention to the percentage given because if one were to earn 1,000 per year they would earn 1,400. Just imagine how many frosties you could buy with that additional 400 dollars. If you get all larges you could buy roughly 175 of them, that's a lot and so worth it. According to college atlas website, “By earning a bachelor’s or master’s data suggests that you will be 48-56% less likely to be unemployed”(college-atlas). So many new minds are being homeless and unemployed due to their overall lack of a college education. The writer of the article ‘Actually, College Is Very Much Worth It’, Andrew J. Rotherham, states “college graduates earn more, and are more likely to have a job in the first place — and is especially important for some Americans.”(Rotherham). Don't you just love how he highlights “some americans”.  One could say he was talking about those who were not raised with a lot of money. And if this is true then he points out that it should be important to go to college not decline it and turn away from it.
When it comes to income it is better to insure a great total sum.

Lastly college helps you increase your job security. College Atlas states, “According to employment projections released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, having an associate degree suggests that you will be 30% less likely to be unemployed”(college-atlas). Anyone can get any crappy job but to get a good one is a treasure, which means you should make sure you protect it and even the 30% chance of having a job given by college could be the difference between your dream home and the streets. Again college atlas lightens us up on college by saying “By earning a bachelor’s or master’s, this same data suggests that you will be 48-56% less likely to be unemployed”(college-atlas). With taking even more time in college you get up to an additional 26% chance. According to Marist education, online studies and degree benefits,“Employers are loath to lose college graduates in the event of an economic downturn. This is due to the fact that college graduates are proven commodities. The demonstrated success of earning your degree shows employers that you have a unique, dependable skillset, and this is not something most employers will let go if at all avoidable.”(Marist). Not only does going to college show mindset but skills more advanced and needed. When concerned with future go to college to insure your job and future.

Some might say that college is way too expensive. However, according to ‘Actually, College Is Very Much Worth It’ by Rotherham, Andrew J, “the median weekly earnings for someone with some college but no degree were $712, compared to $1038 for a college graduate. That's almost $17,000 over the course of a year and there is an even bigger divide for those with less education.”(Rotherham). This shows that if you get a college degree you will earn more money than you spent on college and therefore the money you lost is very well spent. In “Why College Isn't (And Shouldn't Have to Be) For Everyone.”, Reich, Robert. states “not every young person is suited to four years of college. They may be bright and ambitious but they won’t get much out of it. They’d rather be doing something else, like making money or painting murals.”( Reich). However if they just want to make money, they should be going to college as studies show you make more if you do, they might have to pay for college but it will pay off. According to ‘Actually, College Is Very Much Worth It’ by Rotherham, Andrew J, “86 percent of college graduates still felt the investment was a good one for them.” (Rotherham). And It  must be worth it if most students say so.

To conclude, college helps you Open Doors to reveal your wildest dreams, Increase your salary/income, and Increase your Job Security. The question is: will students go to college using these reasons or turn blind eye to this advisement? To conclude, college helps you Open Doors to reveal your wildest dreams, Increase your salary/income, and Increase your Job Security.
