Steer Clear of BFF
College is a new experience where I'm able to meet a new group of friends, and flourish in an unfamiliar enviroment. But, for some reason I want to stay away from my friends from back home. Don't get me wrong, I love but friends but it's time to depart. The problem is my friends are interested in some of the same colleges as me. If they happen to end up at the same school I would steer clear of them, as I would feel they would prevent me from making new friends and ultimately discovering my true idenity.

This piece was inspired after my friend jokily asked me to room with her if we went to the same college. I am curious about other students opinions whether or not going to the same school as your hometown friend would be a benefit or a disadvantage.
