Rumors!!!!
Many people commit suicide over rumors. A lot of people even drop out of school because of immature people. Most people start rumors because they either like to see people hurt inside, they’re jealous, or don’t have many friends themselves. Rumors also lead to homicide.
Pheobe Prince, a 15 year old freshman, was invited by a boy to a dance at their high school. The dance was supposed to take place on January 16, 2010. Two days before the dance, Prince died in an apparent suicide, after being bullied by classmates at her high school. Pheobe hung herself.
Ever heard of the saying, “ Sticks and stones may break my bones but words may never harm me.” Well, that is so not true. Some people are very sensitive and let a lot of things get to them. But also some get bullied day after day just reach their breaking point, and they crack. The bullies should get over themselves and grow up.
The people who are being bullied should go talk to someone about the situation if they can’t handle it. Someone else’s jealousy should make you proud because even if they don’t like you, you are always on their mind. So the Moral of the story is, watch what you say, words do HURT and don’t say things you no aren’t true about other people.
