A New Perspective
A new perspective
Many of my recent experiences at school have led me to believe that every single school needs to have a student’s point of view in every decision they make.In every meeting. They would have more of an idea of what are the side effects of decisions they make. It could even help schools understand what being a student in 2023 feels like and how students actually feel at school. It would have the benefit of leadership for students, administrators practicing empathy. Putting each other in opposite shoes.
Back in time school was fun for everyone. No stress, no anxiety. Somehow schools did it. School was everyone's happy place. We have to find our path back. Because for many of us school is just hell. We don't want to be there. We do not want to deal with bullies, or staff making the wrong decisions over and over again. It's unjust. Students are young but we have powerful voices that need to be heard.
Yes, principals and counselors have studied a lot, and maybe they know what 's best for us. But us, students, have a tool that they don't. We are students in the present, in the school we attend. We know what it's like. We have a lot of constructive criticism too. And a team of administrators plus a student suggester will just make us stronger.
We need a leader, a kid leader. Someone who gets us. It would be someone's opinion and suggestion. The kid wouldn't make the decision, they would just suggest an opinion in favor of making school our happy place again. They would volunteer, it could even count like service hours. But students have a voice too, this is why we need students in every school’s administering team to help make any decision fair. I also think that students should be smart about what's best and not take anyone's side. Because after all we all want the same thing. For school to be our happy place. Somewhere where we look forward to going. Somewhere where we don't mind spending most of our day in. But students have a voice. We need a new perspective, a student's perspective.

My biggest insipration while writing this article was that my school does not listen to students. They only listen to the adminisrating team who has no clue how to decide fairly. So, im making suggestion to the world since my school will not listen to me.
