The Maze of Decision
Two roads diverged; a nearly possible decision, how can one possibly choose which one to take when it could determine the fate of their existence? How can one feel confident in their decision with the unknown possibilities wandering over them like a pesky mosquito? In my life, I am at a crossroads that I have yet to venture past.
Everyone keeps asking me, “So have you finally decided on a college yet? It is getting to be that time of deciding.”
I mindlessly answer, “I do not know where I want to go yet.”
I am at a crossroads, holding my future in the soles of my feet, one step forward, and I could get stuck. Wishing I could see my fate, my mind immerses with questions:
“Will I regret my decision? Will I be happy? Or will I wish I had taken the other path?”
It seems as if my future lies on these roads, and I could not be more torn about which road to choose.
Will it be the path most familiar: I decide to play hockey at a school? Or do I venture on a new road and live the ordinary college experience? Even then, how do I know which school to choose from there?
In life, I am constantly facing new paths. My life is like a maze, one wrong turn, and I am stuck.
Holding my fate in the sole of a single footstep..
