Passing Time
Middle school students in Mukwonago, Wisconsin, do not have enough passing time in between classes. Because of this, running is an issue in the hallways. If there was a little more time to get from class to class, students would not have to run. Because of running in the halls, students can sometimes collide with one another, which causes them to take more time while picking up their books.
With one extra minute, using the restroom and getting to your next class will not be a problem. A great number of students think four minutes is not enough and would like more passing time. One effect this would have is the time school starts. Most buses arrive at 7:00 am to 7:05 am. Students have twenty-one minutes until their first-hour class begins. Having five minute passing times will lower the twenty-one minutes to thirteen.
