Doing a countdown, like you have done, is great. It is something I haven't really seen on here. However, try to make it into more of an article. At the moment they are just lists. You have clearly tried to add things at times, but ultimately it is simply a list. If you were to talk about each one giving your reasons and some facts about each, showing your knowledge of the bands and the music they play then it would intrigue the reader more and share your opinions better. Especially as you do have such a variety of different forms of metal it would be good to show what each is like.
On a side note am I glad you included such a variety, a lot of bands go unnoticed as they are not maintstream enough, operatic metal and symphonic metal I find are missed very often or people do not even realise they are listening to it. There are some bands though that you have not included that you may like judging by your list. Dark Princess are a russian band, they started off with a different singer and it was much darker and slowly, but their newest album is absolutely amazing. Try their songs Fight With Myself, Everlasting Pain, and We Can Not Fly So High. Their is also a polish band called Unsun which are quite unique. They are not as consistantly great, but her accent puts a very different tone and unique rythm into their songs. Try their songs Whispers and Home. Epica are also one of the larger operatic/symphonic metal bands as well, and her voice is amazing. Their unique sound has varied over the years, but they do produce some amazing songs, but the best album is Requiem For the Indifferent. Try their songs Storm The Sorrow, Never Enough, and The Essence Of Silence. Their are also Floor Jansens bands where she has sung in After Forever and ReVamp (as well as nightwish now).
However, if you want something truly unique listen to a band called Van Canto. They blow your mind live, and their music is so unique. They created their own genre which they call "Hero A Capella Metal". Yes it does sound strange, but it works. They only have a drummer, otherwise they have singers to do the bass, the guitar solo's (I know you will doubt it, but believe me it works), and any other sounds they can come up with as well as singing. They also have a male and female singer so they can do a wider range of songs and make them even more epic. They do lots of covers of metal songs and a few rock ones too. They have covered Fear Of The Dark (which is one of their best songs), Paranoid, Final Countdown, Master Of Puppets, Wishmaster, Bed Of Nails, etc and did a cover of Primo Victoria with Sabaton (another band to listen to), and a cover of Rebllion with Grave Digger. Of course they also do their own songs. For those listen to Lost Forever, If I Die In Battle, The Seller Of Souls, The Mission, Speed Of Light.
I've probably gone on too much, but yeah, I had to comment haha.
