"It's not about who we are, but who we choose to be."

I am a child. I am looked down upon. I have no say in the way the world works. I have no chances to make myself known. I am writing a book. Whenever I tell my friends, teachers, etc… they just nod. Some say that it’s cool, others have told me that I’m just a child. What does that mean, exactly? Why does it matter if I’m just a child? Why can’t I be a part of the world?

We are the country’s future. What if I want to get my life started now? I don’t want to grow up. No, I like being young. What I don’t like is that I get to just sit here while all these terrible things are happening! Why is it that all of our powerful people are adults? They may have more knowledge, but the world’s youth should have a chance to have a say in things.
