Olive Garden essay contest
Hunger affects families in the Hartland and Brookfield area where I live. And all of the schools in my school’s athletic division are extremely competitive. I want to use that competitiveness to help others in our community.
All the schools in the classic 8 conference could have a huge competition. The schools could play up the competitiveness and make it really intense and exciting. If every school in the division, for one football, game made the admission two non-perishable food items, can you imagine the amount of food there would be? It could have the potential to fill a semi-truck at each school’s game.
And if people forgot or didn’t know about the admission requirement, they could pay four dollars to get in. All of the money collected could go to the food pantries.
Together, using our community’s competitiveness, we can feed the people around us.
