Middle School

(Advice piece)

As middle school comes to end, I start to reflect on my experience and how much I have changed as a person. There are so many things that I wish I had known before coming to middle school. When middle school first started, I had no idea how much fun I would have, and how much I would change as an individual.

Middle school is a huge transition from elementary school, getting more work, becoming more independent, and working harder for tests and homework. The first day of sixth grade, I had no idea what to expect, and I didn’t know how much pressure I would put on myself to do well. One thing to remember throughout Middle School is to keep everything organized, and save time for homework and for yourself.

When it comes to homework, doing it as soon as I got home was extremely helpful, because it saved me time for myself. I kept a well organized homework folder, keeping what I hadn’t done on the left, and what I had done on the right. By doing this I could easily pull out what I had to do, and finish it.

Overall my middle school experience was great, I learned many great things, and made new friends. I tried different activities that I didn’t think I would enjoy, but I ended up enjoying them. I worked harder and became a more independent person. I hope my middle school experience is a good as my high school experience.
