Do you really want to know what's in fast food?

I bet the first thing you think when you hear Fast Food you don’t think about all of the crazy ingredients that are in the food. You think about how good it is and how its sounds good no matter what. Its crazy to think that in 2006 Americans spent $147 billion dollars on fast food. That’s a lot of money . So many people go to fast food restaurants that 60% of Americans are obese. You wonder whats in the food that makes it taste so good. Is it really fresh ingredients? Is it homemade? If its neither of those then why do people eat it so much?

Based off some surveys, people say they don't care whats in fast food they say that they're either too busy to make meals at home or they say its cheap and they save money. Now if I ate fast food as much as some people do I would definitely want to know what I'm consuming. For example, McDonald's Apple pie has been proven to have duck feathers in them, Silicon Dioxide (sand) is used as an anti-caking agent, and Processed wood pulp (cellulose) is found in cheese and muffins at fast food restaurants. Now after hearing all this, does this make you want to still go get something from McDonald’s? Now don’t get me wrong fast food can be good but I think that if I want to go eat a hamburger I want to know what I'm eating.

The reason why fast food is so addictive is because of a substance called Casein. Its known as the “nicotine of fast food”. Even though this is found in milk they make a refined version of it and concentrate it then put in foods like french fries, milk shakes, and buns. This is just one of the any unhealthy things found in fast food. This I was causing Americans to be obese all of these unnatural ingredients and stuff that shouldn't be in your body.

Some people assume that what they really hear on commercials about fast food being healthy is true. Now you can debate about whether or not its healthy but that wont help solve anything. 45% of Americans know how bad fast food can be but don’t want to know whats being put into their bodies. Mainly they do this for two reasons, one they just care about calories and as long as they stay on track with them they'll be fine. Two, they don't really care about what they eat. If I were you I would start worrying more about what is being consumed then how good or cheap it is.
