My Future
I have always been into the idea of creating, I’ve taken so many art courses at Arrowhead and at Merton, from basic drawing classes to photography. But for the longest time I have always loved hair and makeup, you can do anything you want with makeup and there's endless possibilities when it comes to hair, so many styles, cuts, colors.
Personally I think hair and makeup can say a lot about a person and who they want to be, this is the reason I want to go to Cosmetology School. It’s been a big part of my life. Every time my mom would take me to get my hair done I was mesmerized by what the lady was doing to my hair. I would think to myself, ‘there's so much I could do with my hair, so many colors’ .
I always wondered how people would choose since there are so many opportunities. I can just see all the bright vibrant colors, cool tones, dark colors, highlights and lowlights that I can do to make someone absolutely love their hair. That’s what I want my job to be, making people happy and giving them confidence to love themselves.
