Summary:
Ever sense Sondra Sorrow and Padrick Perish "crashed" into each other when she was 9 and he was 10 they have been inseparable. Years later it is time for Padrick to go off to college and Sondra can imagine living half an hour away from him after only being 5 houses down from him for so long. They spend an amazing day together a week before he has to leave, but will he be gone sooner than she expects? And farther away?
