I Can't Remember
Summary:
Excerpt From The Book.
I run to the top of the hill where my favorite old oak tree grows. Luke may be able to run, but I’m the better climber.
“Don’t you do it Daisy!” I hear Luke’s footsteps getting closer. I grab the bottom tree limb and take off.
“Goddamnit!” I look down and see Luke trying to get up. He’s gotten better. But not good enough. I keep climbing until I’m almost at the top.
“Do you give up Luke?” I look down and see him only on the third branch.
“No… Way… I… Will… Catch… You… Little…Fox…” He says between breaths. I just laugh and reach for another limb.
“You’ll never catch me.” I swing up and suddenly I’m falling.
“Daisy!” I hear Luke scream right before I black out.
