Yaz MAG

Yaz is the autobiography of Red Sox great Carl Yastrzemski. At the beginning of the book, Carl describes his childhood. He grew up on a small Long Island farm in Bridgehampton, New York. While growing up, Carl loved to play baseball and basketball. His parents were always very strict.

Carl does a great job when he writes about his baseball career. He gives descriptions of his feelings when he played in Fenway Park for the first time. Carl also gives the lowdown on what went on during the dream season of 1967.

This book will make you laugh too when Carl describes some of the pranks that pitcher and funny man Luis Tiant pulled during his time with the Red Sox. Carl also goes into great detail about his feelings during the last game he played before he retired.

I strongly recommend this book to any baseball fans who want to read about the the game's best players ever.
