Once in awhile people take trips, sometimes with family or sometimes by themselves. Usually you take trips with people that have some kind of memory of, this was the case this time.

If you go with your friends or your cousin there should not be that much of age difference
right, wrong. Me and my cousin are 5 year difference and that doesn't seem like a lot considering I'm 13 and 5’6 while my cousin is 18 and 6’9 tall and skinny like me. He really doesn't like me but we still get along sometimes.
Even though i'm taking a trip with my cousin Jarius, my Aunt, Uncle, and Mama (Grandma) are going to. I was planning on taking a flight so i got my downloaded games on my phone and set my for on airplane mode and charge my phone and my backup charger so i can do stuff on the flight. Little did i know that it was a car ride in a dodge and where i'm going it's going to take a while.

We left in the morning and early to, we left from Cincinnati, Ohio and we headed for Charleston, South Carolina. We went through a lot of beautiful trees and jaw dropping mountains.

We passed through Kentucky, Tennessee and North Carolina. Kentucky and Tennessee where boring but North Carolina wasn't. As soon as you got to the border the view to amazing mountains were forming everywhere around you. Beautiful red, white, blue, and purple flowers where on the side of the highway when we stop at a rest stop. We got out to stretch and to go to the bathroom and get something to drink I got out and my uncle got out to take some pictures and stuff and he started to take a picture a “roar” was made from down in the giant 300 foot down forest. Some trees moved and some birds flew away and then it just stopped. The roar like sound lasted for only 8-9 seconds and then stop. My dad always said bigfoot was real.

We got to South Carolina after i took 16 naps on the way. We had to stop at my Aunt's house to drop my Mama of there and when i got out of the car the heat it my in the face hard. After be used to the Ac and cold drinks in the car it was hard getting out. This wasn't the heat we get in Michigan this was dry heat the dried up your spit before it hits the ground.

The house was better but not by much. My Aunt already planned to have lunch made for us when we got there and she come through. South Carolina food is probably the best kind of food i ever had. The chicken was spicy but the amount of spices she used it was like walmart dumping their trash away (which means a whole lot). We chatted and i met a couple of my Aunts (there were 9 or 10 i'm not sure, and one uncle) My uncle Buster was at his house getting some crabs ready for the going away party we were having for us when we left and went back home.
After we left it took us 45 minutes to get to Hilton Head Island, a place with some beaches and a lot of hotels. We got to our hotel and we settle down but then my Uncle and Aunt had to go shopping in the mall to “Check it out” and to see the sights. We got there and it was sunny 99 degrees we got through half the stores when the clouds turn black and the ground was soaking went. It turned bad in like 5 minutes and then even worse in 10. Lighting did hit one of the building and set it on fire but it was raining so the fire got put out right away. The rain fell so fast that the ground couldn't keep up so some of the rain actually went in some of the stores. Rain is supposed to be cold and chill the air. It was still 90 degrees with the rain falling. It was colder in the shops then outside. Only probably is that there was no place to sit but in the metal chair that was wet. So i did it for 20 minutes i just sat there looking at people and i was on my phone. “YOU COULD DIE FROM THAT,GETUP YOU IDIOT” Jarius said look at me with his polo bags in his hand. I got up and got greeted by a swarm of girls that want me to take pictures with them.

Sadly that was interpreted by my Uncle who got the car and told me to get in a wait. He wasn't mad he just said “That's how you get the ladies” It was about 11ish and the Hotel closed in on hour so we got food and went home. The next morning i was informed we were going to the beach. Fun,right crystal blue water seeing fish and sea animals. When we got there it was pretty straight, literally the walk from the parking lot to the beach was .25 of a mile on wood and the wood felt hotter than magma. We finally got to the beach and I looked at the water and, no blue. The water was a light brown and it didn't look nice. We laid the towels and I took of my hat and we went in. Not my uncle or Aunt they stayed there and got a tan I guess.

The water was cold and it was great I started getting in and giant wave crashes into and knocks me on my back. I thought I was in deep but cousin went into you couldn't see his neck.

I kept going into the water and it felt really good. It was cool that waveswere coming in and you got knocked around by them into you taste the water. After that I crashed because when you swim for 4 hours in 99 degree weather and actually try to keep up because usually you stay where you can touch the water, but I went out to maybe 20ft deep water when everyone was looking at something and see a dolphin pod pop out of the water and went back in within a second. I swam back to shore only to find that dolphins were gone.

We took a few pictures and left to go back to the hotel. That was it for that day but tomorrow something happen in our family so i'm not going to say that day.

The week was going good until the last day. I felt kinda sad that we had to back to ohio but that's what happen. We had a little get together so i can see some of my family and it was great. A Lot of my cousins came and we had crabs, corn, ham, and chicken and wine, and some beer. It was really a fun night, I played basketball with some of my little cousins and it was cool getting to meet them all and everything but we had to got that morning so I was still a little bummed out. That morning we went to Charleston where the shooting happened and we visit the little memorial outside and the was this huge sign and you could write your names on it and give the people that died some hope that the man would get a death sentence.

So out of everything i think probably seeing my family was great, they all said stuff of how i looked like my mom and that was Christy jr and everything. It was really fun going and i hope i get to back to South Carolina again.
