My Sentence
Everyone has a sentence to describe them. “Hey, you know John? Yeah, he’s the guy who reeks of week old macaroni and cheese!” or “Jan's clothes are to die for!” are examples of these sentences. I want a sentence that really captures me well. I think if I had to choose one, it would be “Hadia was the girl who spoke her mind and stood up for what was right”. But if you know me personally right now, you’re probably thinking that I’m out of my mind. I can barely answer a question in class and here I am, wanting to be described as the girl who always spoke her mind. Honestly, it sounds a bit crazy to me as well right now. This sentence is what I want to be known for though. Someday I want to be able to speak my mind without caring what anyone thinks. I want to be able to stand up for what I think is right instead of just keeping it to myself. To be able to do these things, I need confidence. Surely, I won’t gain all the confidence I need in a day or two, it’ll be something progressive. It might get tough sometimes, but I’m willing to take the risks along the way to achieve what I truly want. Speaking my mind is something that I think everyone needs to be able to do, as well as standing up for what they think is right. These two things are very important to me. I just hope that one day, I will be able to speak my mind and stand up for what I think is right with confidence and not care about what others might say about me.
