A Place for Peace
Imagine when life gets too much to bear leaving even the strongest person stressed about school, work, too many tasks, and too little time. It is impossible for a superhero to fathom the demands, let alone any one individual. Still, there are those times in life when one can not help feeling burdened when the day brings more downs than ups. That is why it is important to have a safe haven or environment where you feel completely overjoyed, content, and peaceful for even just a few minutes. For me, this place is the beach. It is picturesque, tranquil, and cheerful. This repose, whether it be only five minutes or all day, provides me with the time to pause for a moment and recharge for the challenges that lay ahead. Nothing makes me feel more at peace, clear-headed, and relaxed than sharing this experience with someone I care about. For me, that is my family. Whether it is with my parents or sister, I can go to the beach and observe unbeatable views and the calming feats of nature any time of the day. This ultimately reminds me to just live in the moment enjoying my family in this delightful, happy-place location.
I have always loved the beach and, combined with my closest relatives, have spent treasured hours enjoying memorable and relaxing days. Growing up, I can recall the various beach activities that encompassed every spare moment that could be squeezed into each weekend. Whether it was surfing, skim boarding, or just playing in the waves, the beach has always played an important role in my respite. The countless hours spent being silly and having fun have also created perfect memories. Sometimes the best therapy for an atrocious day is talking and cracking jokes with the people you adore most in life while witnessing the fantastic view of mother nature at work.
When a person experiences nature's beauty, a calming effect is felt almost immediately. Taking the time to smell the roses is as easy as just breathing in the cool, salty air at the beach. It is a distinct, exhilarating smell that even perfume companies have tried to bottle. There also is a calmness felt when looking at the light blue waves crashing on the shore as carefree birds frolic in the foamy water. One need only watch this natural spectacle to become easily distracted and erase a bad day.
While a person can not always plan for a full day of relaxation, a spontaneous trip to the beach in the evening still offers a way to unwind. The energizing afternoon sun gets replaced by a cool, soothing breeze. The setting sun illuminates the sky with colors of orange and pink which reflect on the sparkling ocean. One can not help but admire the glow and before long all stress seems to have disappeared. Another highlight of this impeccable view is that it can not be seen while staring at a computer screen inside the house. Sometimes in order for a person to feel their best, they just simply have to take a break, get outside, and enjoy life.
Finding a place to relax is as easy as going to the beach with family and observing the natural beauty if only for a moment in the evening. Sometimes smelling the fresh salty air and talking with soul enriching people is all you need to clear your head. Problems seem to be much smaller even miniscule in size when a person stares out at the vast ocean. It helps to be reminded that tomorrow is another day. The sun rises and the sun sets, everything is temporary. Enjoy the simplicity and good times a visit to the beach brings.
