What Wilmington Means to Me
Wilmington not only is where I grew up, where I was born, but where I have learned everything. My parents come from towns that are uncomparable to Wilmington in so many ways. Wilmington has a special meaning to me and will never be taken away from me. I have spent all 18 years here and the day I move on is the day I graduate from a school and from a town that means so much to me. From playing High School football under the lights, to coaching recreational basketball for the youth community, I have had great and significant memories that will last forever and will never be taken away from me no matter where I go. There is no place too far, nor too close that will change my past in the community of Wilmington I’ve spent my whole childhood. Wilmington is where I’ve learned everything and because of this I will have a successful future. I have also met longtime friends I will never forget from Wilmington. The meaning of Wilmington does not only mean so much to me but to everyone else that grew up here as well. We have gone through so much together as a community, we are known as a family here in Wilmington. Wilmington’s meaning is so substantial to me, I will always look at Wilmington the same way forever. WIlmington is a spontaneous, caring, and giving community I will always remember.
