You're Supposed To
We don’t need you. I guess i can’t speak for everyone but I don’t need you. I don’t need you or anyone telling me I’m ugly, lazy , fat, rude, or any other insulting thing you can think of. You’re my dad, you’re supposed to be the one I come to when other people say those things about me. You’re supposed to be the one person I can trust not to hurt me. You’re supposed to tell me how beautiful I am when I don’t believe I am. You’re not supposed be the reason I don’t think I am beautiful. You should be the reason I have confidence in myself, not the reason I don’t. You’re supposed to make me feel good about myself and build me up when I’ve been torn down; you’re not the one who's supposed to tear me down and be the reason I think it’s a joke whenever I get a compliment. You’re supposed to be on my side, not against me.
