China is a big country, it is also my home country. America is another big country in the world, and now it is my second home. Chinese culture and American culture are totally different. I need to have more time to learn and understand this new culture. To me, the most difficult thing is language. It is because my first language is Chinese, and now I have to live in an English speaking country, it is really hard for me. Now I am surrounded by “English” !

As we all know English is a widely used language. I have many chances to represent my country in diving competitions in different countries, so learning English is very important to me. Besides, I want to go to college in America. So, good English skills are a must to me.

I meet difficulties when I am learning English. Sometimes, I will feel depressed when everyone in the class understands the questions from the teachers, and I cannot; I will feel depressed when I know that somebody is talking about me, but my English is not good enough to understand all of their conversation.

Now, my English is getting better, I have many friends in school. I feel much happier. I feel that language is a magical thing. It will make people understand each other more, but on the other hand it will hurt others too. I think I should work harder and make good use of the language.
