I wish things hadn't changed. I want to go back to the love letters and cute notes. I want flowers at my doorstep and a serenade at my window. I want to run in the rain, fall in the snow, bathe in the sun and jump in the leaves. But fairy tale love only exists in books where time doesn't exist, money is not a problem and reality never settles in.
Where is the picnic you promised? you know the one by the lake and you with a guitar. Empty promises put aside with the hope that tomorrow they will come true. Disappointment hidden because I don't want you to know the truth. I'm no longer happy, but neither are you.
