Results of the Reaper
There was something beautiful in her sadness. In the way her maroon hair fell into her eyes, desperately trying to hide the puffiness of her eyes, surely left that way from days of tears. Her nose ring glittered in the light, the only untainted thing in the chapel. Her hands clutched at a crumpled tissue, terrified to let go, as if it was the only thing that kept her from being swept away altogether. Neck taut, eyes pointed to the ceiling, it was obvious she was trying to keep the glittering tears in her eyes from spilling over and coming crashing down into reality. I’d never seen her like this before, so fragile. Like one wrong move, one harsh breath would shatter her completely, leaving her broken forever.
