Morning in Maine

The calm waves lull at the rocks, in and out, in and out. A kayaker passes my window, it's green sides silently gliding through the calm water. The flag pole in the yard waves slightly, limply, no wind.
The deck in front of me is still, no one sits in the rocking chairs, 4 books lay lonely, waiting for eyes to lay upon them.
I can hear the crackling of sausage and the voices of children and adults.
This is a morning in Maine.

Oh I love it! I barely ever read a Maine piece that isn't all about lighthouses or lobsters or something! Beautiful! :)
