A Dream To Think About
February 8th, 2009. I had a dream that night. It really made me think for the next couple weeks.
In the dream, I saw my dad. I was sitting by my window waiting for a blick, shiny, Pontiac LX to come in the driveway. The feeling was excrutiating, just waiting for someone you haven't seen in a month. And there it was- that beautiful car coming in the driveway. A big, clown-ish smile came upon my faceas i rean downstairs to see him. I jumped into his arms and hugged him tightly while tears fan down my cheeks, dripping of my chin. He put his mouth to my ear and whispered goodbye.
Than I woke up. After I thought fora while, I knew that was his way of saying goodbye. Because the previous night was my dad's funeral. As he was laying in the coffin, peacefully and quietly, i leaned in with so much hurt and whispered goodbye.
