The runaway street do

Have you ever found a dog stranded on the street and wonder why and how it got there in the first place? Well, there was once this dog on the streets. That middle-aged couple going for a joyride found something in the street! The only problem was this object was in the street, and they didn't know what it was and didn't want to run it over, so they tried to figure out what to do next. Since he was a puppy, he was deaf, so he couldn’t hear and didn't understand what was going on around him. Once, it was thundering and pouring down rain in the middle of the night, when this nice couple found this dark brown shih tzu Yorkie mix dog just walking by himself in the street. So they decided that they were going to pull over to get him. So that they could try to get him back to his home if he had one. That’s when my family and I were just scrolling through Facebook when we stumbled across this adorable looking dog. The rescue shelter named him Scrappy, so that ended up being his name for a while. When she saw the post, the image showed he was dirty, wet, with hair in his eyes. Just by the image, you could tell that he desperately needed a haircut. There was once this nice couple that brought him to this local rescue area. They were able to fix him up by giving him a haircut that was badly needed. Then my mom, brother, and I were astonished when we saw the before and after of Scrappy, as he looked so bad before. That’s when they later figured out that Scrappy was just roaming throughout the streets of Justin. When they did a scan to figure out if he had an owner, but he just got away, they were unable to find a microchip. Since he didn't have a previous owner, we were given the opportunity to adopt him. My family and I were so provoked because this poor dog looked so miserable in the previous image. Although the previous image was a lot better, since they shaped him up. If there was a microchip in Scrappy, the vet would then be able to scan it. Once they scanned it, then they would have to call the owner if he happened to run away. In addition to that, he also did not get the needed things for his well-being or health. So then we instantly decided we wanted a dog and we wanted Scrappy. That’s when my mom, dad, and I decided he was flawless, so then my mom messaged the woman. Then, after that, my mom and this lady messaged to see if we could get this dog. She made a home visit, and she thought we were a fit family to take him home. That’s when we were then able to buy this cute dog. Later, after the woman made a house visit, my mom and dad bought Scrappy and took him home. My parents surprised my brother and I with Scrappy at our school. They did this by bringing him to the car and introducing him to our elementary school and family, as we were so ecstatic since it was our first-ever dog. Once we brought him home, we decided to change his name to Roscoe. Then a little while after we were getting to know him got, we realized he had trauma from his living on the street. Once he was home, he became the happiest dog my family and I had ever seen within seconds of him getting to his new home. This came to show us that maybe he wasn’t just on the streets for a couple of minutes, but that it was more like a little over a day. All it took was for one person to see Scrappy just another runaway dog from the streets. Not only see this dog, but figure out a way to take him to the vet to check for a microchip. Another thing is, they took the time out of their day to take him to a shelter to see if he had an owner before checking the vet. That one act of kindness this couple made gave Roscoe another chance at having a loving family, where he is no longer living on the streets and gets to play with his sister Bailey. He is not only a blast to have around, he is the funniest and one of the best companions ever. If you ever need a great companion like Roscoe, look into adopting or fostering a dog. If you end up buying a dog, just remember some little things that could trigger them from past events that happened. You never know how amazing that could be for that dog, as it could have had a bad past, and they need a forever home. If you consider it, not only will that dog protect you, but teach you responsibility as you care for him or her. Another thing is, the best part about owning a dog is, it can never let you down, and they always seem to make bad things better. Not only how much can it help that animal, but how much it also helps you go through trouble. A dog will always be there for you through the good and bad times.
