I took a shaky breath, preparing myself. Every beat of the previous music echoed fear in me as the song drew to a close. My first solo, my first dance drama. Months of practice, planning, effects, and rehearsing all led up to this. I glanced at the smoke machines in the wings of the stage. I entered but where was the smoke, special effects? Everything was ruined. On the verge of tears, I started my spinning. Stay in character; I was a tornado. The smoke came in late, looking like my perfect creation and ending my solo with a bang.
