Messages
Are the world’s breakup makeup letter.
For most, a back and forth of various ideas.
And for an unlucky few,
Well,
A dice roll.
I see myself as unlucky.
Left on read almost each time,
Except days when boredom fills their mind.
Simply letting it continue for others is unreasonable.
Each day, any time
A message seen is one I incline to respond
Typing quicker than it’d take for someone
To close out of their tab.
A small difference,
Yes indeed.
But one that fairly cost me,
Years of grief.

I always get left on read. And it, sucks. Like the kind of feeling you get when starting a fire. Slowing building up into a burning sensation. So yes, this isn't a big difference I make. But it's something that made me feel worthless and a nuisance. TO prevent that feeling for others, I respond as soon as I see a message.
