Shoes
My family has too many pairs of shoes. We collect them like shells on the beach. The shoes I don’t like are stuffed in the back of a bin, unable to breath. Those shoes smell like they have been worn too many times. My newest shoes smell like that new car smell, fresh, fabulous and favored. My shoes are full of adventure, following me from place to place. My shoes are always covered in snow from the icy path I have to walk to school in.
My sister Julia has the most shoes I have ever seen, her shoes are a mess, muddy and always moving. Her shoes move with her walking to class, flying 532 miles back to home. My other sister, Natalee has shoes that are practical like her. My moms shoes are always chasing after kids. My dad's shoes, my dad’s shoes on the other hand have traveled everywhere. My dad’s shoes are worn out and old, they hold the same adventure as my shoes but they are too tired, they have ripped right at the toe.
