Catalina Island

Have you seen the sunrise from the pier or swam in the clear waters of the Pacific ocean?

Intro- Catalina Island had an abundance of apprehending details with the waves crashing onto shore and the birds whistling and kids screaming off to the distance. It also has many types of visual details such as different colors of the kayaks that were lined up along the shore or the blinding reflection of the sun as it hit the clear waters of the Pacific ocean.

sight-I can remember arriving on the island and seeing a lot of kids, I also visually remember the blatant reflection of the sun as it collided with the clear waters of the Pacific ocean. I also viewed many different kinds of colors from the kayaks that were perfectly lined up along the shore. I also viewed many types of bags and suitcase lined up against a fence that were all filled and packed up.

sound-Beside the visual details of Catalina island I also heard many sounds such as like girls screaming in the distance, boys racing down the pier to get to the island and I also heard a loud horn as the boat pulled away from the dock and camp leaders shouting to get everyone’s attention and kids whispering during the instruction and rules session. I could hear the waves of the ocean as they crash along the shore and the splashes of water as kids throw in rocks trying to skip them above the water.

Awe feeling-I remember waking up earlier than usual to watch the sunrise I can remember having this  peaceful feeling and knowing that I was pretty far from home yet I still had more peace here on in an island rather than being at home. It also gave me an escape of the technology and disturbances  we have today where most kids stay inside playing video games  or watching TV rather than going outside and playing a sport or any other activities.

Conclusion- Catalina Island was an astonishing nature experience with its filled visual and hearing details. It also had a  pleasant “awe” feeling with its natural sights and attending details that all add up to a peaceful feeling with the sunrise. It also had given me many good memories with my friends that I’ll sure never forget.
