The Day I Lost Money
The green paper holds value and meaning to one’s worth. I need to showcase my own, “Hey look at all this paper I have!” Their gasps and approval made my pride bloom as they looked down on me. The older kids let me sit with them as we skipped class.“I want to be like them!” I thought to myself before all my hopes withered away. One grasped me. Another made sure I had my belongings. In the roots of my misconceptions, I was deluded by my materialistic value of a few monetary papers unable to define my true worth.
