My Hero MAG
My Hero
As I think about the love I see in his eyes,
A love, given without strings ...
I recall the many times he stood by my side.
And cheered me on with great force and pride.
His voice ever confident, firm and yet fair,
Always speaking with patience, tenderness and care.
The power and strength of his hand so certain,
I knew there was nothing we couldn't do.
Of course, others have given some guidance,
But he laid the groundwork that made me.
He's the greatest of men who lives on this earth,
Although he is not royal by birth.
He's a man of great dignity, honor and strength.
His goodness is grand and of great length.
He's far bigger than all the other men are,
He's my Dad; He's my coach, my friend and hero.
