Today
Yesterday, she could've stood there and not said anything. Yesterday, she could've let an injustice pass by without a word. Yesterday, she could've let two boys walk away without knowing. Yesterday, she chose not to.
Yesterday, my hero proved herself. Yesterday, she decided not to ignore what is wrong. Yesterday, she decided to stand up for what is right. Yesterday, my hero reminded me why I look up to her. Yesterday, my hero made a change in those boys.
Yesterday, I was changed, too.
Today, I feel that it is my job, too. Today, I feel empowered to change someone else.
