What Nobody Has Told You: The Realest Advice ever
I’ll tell you what humans; at the end of the day, the only person who stays by your side is you yourself. In today’s fast paced, all about the rat race generation, it’s really important to wake up in the morning for your own self even if just for a day and not because of your goals or aspirations or just to see some hoe’s face in school who verbatim does not care about you. You got to stand up for yourself because today somebody might be by your side now, but people are ephemeral and they’ll come and go. And people are selfish. Even if you hate to admit it, you are selfish and I am selfish. Nobody is perfect. (well unless you’re Justin Bieber or Chris Evans or God. Just kidding; what’s life without a little humor anyways?) You have to pick yourself up and dust yourself off. After a long nerve-wracking night, you have to make your own coffee in the morning. After a blizzard, when all your pieces are wayward and scattered in the midst of darkness, it’s you who has to pick them up and put it back together.
Everyone’s going to be busy fixing themselves and you’ll always remain their second priority even if they claim that they place you in the first locus. So yes, be brave and face the holy trinity- the fire, the water and the wind. Believe in yourself and always do what you love and not what society wants you to do. Color outside the confines of your outline that society has drawn for you and prove them wrong. Life is short and before you know it, school will be over. In another blink of the eye, so will college and university. You cannot sit down and regret everything you do, so choose what’s best for you. Don’t do anything unless your heart’s in it. Imagine this- do you want a job in your forties where you’re constantly tired and waiting for the weekend? Or do you want a job where you enjoy each day and every day is like a Friday night?
Do what feels good. Take risks. That feeling in your stomach when you take risks is exactly how you are supposed to feel all the time. You have this one life, darling. Make yourself proud because when you will be going to your grave, it’ll be just you and not them.
