Royal Families of America
With the 2012 presidential election over, citizens all over America are already wondering what to expect in 2016, and news reporters everywhere are giving them answers. Though each reporter has a different opinion, two people keep showing up in their predictions. These two people are Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton.
Ever since 2008, Hillary Clinton has been a potential presidential candidate. Bill Clinton’s presidency brought the Clinton family into the spotlight, and Hillary Clinton has run for president in the past, showing that she may want to run again. According to polls, many Democrats believe that she is the best candidate for 2016. Hillary Clinton is currently not holding a political position, which causes Democrats to believe that she is making room for work on her presidential campaign. Jeb Bush, on the other hand, has had two family members hold the title of President of the United States, causing many to believe that Jeb will want to follow in his footsteps. Both George H. W. Bush and George W. Bush have informed the media that they will support Jeb’s decision, whether or not he decides to run for president. Jeb Bush has publicly stated that he will consider running for president later on, but has no intention of deciding now. Like Hillary Clinton, he is not currently in any political position.
The 2016 election is only three years away, but many American citizens already have predictions for the candidates in 2016. The problem with this is that the United States is supposed to be a democracy, and having it run by members of one particular family would be like a monarchy. The Bush and Clinton families are not the only candidates for 2016. Everyone should have a chance to be president, even if their families aren't known in the political world.
