Justin Bieber is a Canadian singer-songwriter who grew up in a single mom household. His dad left him when he was just a little baby. He was born on March 1, 1994 in Stratford, Canada. His mom, Pattie Mallette, had to work two jobs to help support him. He was very talented and started playing the guitar and drums at a very young age. When he was 12, he started putting videos up on YouTube for his family to hear him sing. As he put more and more videos up, he got more and more views. In 2008, a talent manager, Scooter Braun came across his videos and asked Justin to fly to Atlanta, Georgia to meet Usher Raymond. Justin was later signed to Raymond Braun Media Group and then to Island Records offered by L.A. Reid.
In 2009, his first album, My World, was released and was ranked number 6 on the Billboard charts. His first single, “One Time,” went platinum in May 2009. He sold over 137,000 copies of his album My World within the first week. His second single was “One Less Lonely Girl.” His song Baby was ranked in the Billboard top 10 in 2010. He also released his second album, My world 2.0 in 2010. In 2011, he released his first documentary ever Never Say Never. During 2011, he also released his Christmas album Under the Mistletoe which included many classics. His single “Boyfriend” was the biggest hit in April 2012.
Bieber also had a love story with famous Disney Channel Star, Selena Gomez. In 2010 when they were first seen together eating pancakes, Selena denied that they were dating and 2011 they were spotted in St. Lucia. Finally, in February 2011 they confirmed their relationship at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party. But in November of 2012, Bieber and Gomez split up.
