The Best Christmas Gift Ever
I was only nine when this happened. The doctors said he had liver cancer. He knew his time was almost up. He told the family” One last Christmas”. We all felt helpless, .We knew that the light of life was fading and would soon be burnt out. That same night he told us that he wanted to be alive one more Christmas he called me over and hugged me so tight and said I love you. He made it one more Christmas just like he said he would. Only 6 short days after Christmas did that light finally burn completely out…he was gone forever. Those last few days I will have with me forever. I remember the last time he kissed my cheek and hugged me tight and said Logan I love you never forget that. That was the best Christmas gift ever being able to see my grandfather happy with all of his family one more time. It is weird how much a person can do with the will to live .
In Loving Memory of William Dirk Visker.
Love always your granddaughter Logan.

What a great story. I'm so sorry about your grandfather. I know he's watching over you. You're a great granddaughter.
