From September 26th to January 3rd, the Milwaukee Art museum held an exhibit about the famous 60’s artist Andy Warhol. The museum held 55 of his works donated by various other modern museums.

“It was very interesting and different stuff then what he was doing earlier on.” Junior Sarah said, after she had the opportunity to see the exhibit.

The exhibit displayed art from Warhol’s last years of his life. Colleagues say that last years of his life in the 1980’s were most productive for him and he produced the most interesting of pieces of his career.

According to the Milwaukee art museum, the paintings were split up into different themed sections based on his different series, such as, his abstract works, black and white ads, works surrounding death and religion, self portraits and a section of the artists Last Supper Series.

Many large scale pieces were brought to the museum that Warhol made later in 1984 that range from 25 to 35 feet tall and wide.
