Light blue. Dark blue. Brown. And hazel. My father’s eyes are soft brown, like sweet, milk chocolate. Soft and shy. Mother’s eyes are deep blue, like the salty ocean water. Subtle and warm. And me, my eyes are hazel, changing colors like the leaves on trees each season.

But my sister's eyes, my sister’s eyes are sharp and icy. They twinkle bright blue like sunlight reflecting on water. Slippery. Glossy. Bug eyes pop off her face, drawing each and every person in. Her eyes are shiny crystals, receiving compliments from friends, family, and strangers. Sister’s eyes respond with a thank you through a twinkle.

My family wishes for eyes like hers, to have that shining feature. But no one would take it away. Sister’s eyes are what make her unique. They are what make her stand out. Those bright blue eyes, bright blue eyes, instantly pull a smile out of anyone. Sister’s eyes are beautiful. Sister’s eyes are her best quality.
