If we don't learn from history we shall be compelled to relive it. True. But if we don't change the future we shall be compelled to endure it. And that could be worse. - Alvin Toffler

Eleanor Roosevelt was one of the most inspirational first ladies of America. Her quote “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams” contains wisdom that is the very principle of life. Every individual starts out as a tiny infant who is oblivious to the world around them. Nature takes course and they learn about the wonders of life. However nurture is also a fundamental element for the attributes to a human life. We learn to believe and dream by being inspired by others. Therefore as Eleanor Roosevelt said, we will then take control of the future. This quote can be examined by my own goals, Harry Potter, and Helen Keller.

Everyone acquires goals in their lifetimes. Mine is not so unique from thousands of other ambitious students, however it is a goal that I am completely devoted to. I hope to graduate high school with an exceptional GPA and attend a noteworthy university. My career interests are either medical science or law. I possess an ambition to simply aid those in need. My belief and dream comes from numbers of inspirational sources. I could never name only one worthy individual that continually inspires me. However, I hope to inspire others one day. There are a bountiful number of people who have done justice to the world. As people continually inspire others, movies and books are beginning to follow them.

The next example of Eleanor Roosevelt’s famous quote is the phenomenal book and movie series, Harry Potter. This griping series is about a young wizard who inspires others by dreaming of a better world. Even if this is a fictional story, the author who wrote it is certainly existent. J.K. Rowling was a single mother on warfare who wrote her vivid stories in a napkin during her free time. Her struggle to thrive as a writer while taking care of her children inspires many young writers. Her inspiration was simply her characters who she longed to discover more about. While Rowling needed support expanding her writing career, others needed assistance exploring theirs.

The final example of the quote is the extraordinary writer, Helen Keller. She became blind and deaf from the age of 19 months. It is exceptional to even try to comprehend how Keller’s abilities are possible. She was determined to be a writer; she went on to write many books. She became the first blind and deaf person to receive a Bachelor Art degree. Her inspiring story is prodigious in many ways and anyone can be inspired by her. Her message to the world was that the impossible can be accomplished.

J.K. Rowling and Helen Keller believed in the beauty of their dreams as I do. They are both a significant part of history and their brush strokes of brilliance will have an impact in society’s world. I hope to make my own master piece that will one day be placed next to theirs. As Eleanor Roosevelt said “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams”. Everyone has doubts about perceiving their exact future. However, they must make an effort to believe in a goal, be inspired by others and most importantly try to inspire others.
