Hey sis! How are things? Things are great here. Samael and I are doing great! I feel like I’ve finally found the one for me. He makes me feel so special and loved, and we’re together non-stop. Today he convinced me to see a documentary about a guy who’s a bird watcher. He studied all of these amazing birds, like albatross and eagles and owls. They’re so protective of their innocent helpless babies since there are so many predators around. They looked so free flying in the sky. They were almost angelic with the way that their wings moved. I didn’t really want to see it at first, but Sam was insistent. I’m so glad I saw it though because I now have such a new appreciation for birds. Maybe I’ll go bird watching tomorrow? I’ll see if he will let me go. I hope you are doing well! Write soon. I miss seeing you.

Dear Alessandra,

Today was my and Samael’s one year! It seems like we met just yesterday. He took me to his favorite restaurant, Petit Troi, and the food was amazing. He ordered the best apple pie for dessert. I was going to wear that blue dress that mom got me that everyone says I look amazing in, but Samael likes when I wear a tighter dress, so I ended up wearing my black one. We took the cutest pictures, and he said I looked like a princess. It was everything I could have asked for and more. He’s so perfect. I love him so much. I hope all is well.

Dear Alessandra,

Sorry I haven’t talked to you in a while! We have been so busy because Samael has been so excited to work on the landscaping out front. It’s really looking beautiful and colorful. I’m dying to repaint inside, but I guess we’ll work on that later.

Guess what?! I dyed my hair today! I was very nervous and unsure at first, but the more I thought about it, the more I decided it would be a good idea. When Samael initially suggested it, I thought he was crazy because I used to love my long blonde hair. But he was so sure that it was the right choice that his enthusiasm got me excited too. “Trust me, I’m right,” he kept saying. He is always so sure of himself. I don’t recognize myself when I look in the mirror, but he’s sure that I will get used to it. Can’t wait to show you! Talk soon.

Update! I did something crazy! I chopped my hair off. I’m still getting used to it. It’s so different from my long blonde hair, which, as you know, took me forever to grow out. Remember how mom used to love to braid our hair?! Your little Rapunzel is now Snow White! Sam surprised me with the appointment. He was so excited. I love making him happy. I’m sure I’ll adjust. I’ve been thinking about what you said in the phone conversation yesterday. I’m sorry if I was defensive at first. Maybe your right and I am losing myself. I looked in the mirror this morning and didn’t recognize myself at all, and I realized that this has gone too far. What was I thinking? I’ve got to get myself back on track. I’m going to have a talk with Samael tonight. Wish me luck! I may be on your doorstep in a few hours – ha ha!

Hey sis! Sorry I went MIA for the last week. To update you since our last conversation, I talked to Sam that night and he totally set my mind at ease. He set me straight and I now understand where he was coming from. He loves me so much, and just wants the best for me. Plus, he’s so much smarter than me and knows what’s best. I should have never doubted him.
