Freedom
The American Dream has inspired innovation and made America the greatest country on Earth. Women and men from different backgrounds sacrifice their family and life to protect this great country. Thirteen stripes and 50 starts might mean different things to people, but to me, is signifies I can be who I want.
Described as Freedom, the United States is backed by the best service in the world. Soldiers, across the world, risk their lives for my freedom and pursuit of happiness. Soldiers, day and night, are on the watch. When complaining about school and being sick, soldiers would merely chuckle. At the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, day and night, every hour of every day, one man is guarding a simple stone coffin for the sake of freedom and guarding it with his life. Soldiers are willing to give up his own life for others before him is an example of humility and courage which what our country is founded on.
So the next time you see a soldier, thank them. These are the people that defend our country and protect the civil rights and the freedom of the greatest country in the world--The United States of America.
