Long-Distance Man Response
In “Long-Distance Man” in the October issue of Teen Ink, I was impressed by Samuel Powell’s opinion of cross-country. I also run cross-country and I agree with most of Samuel when he says that “Those who think that running isn’t a real sport are in the dark.” Too many times do I hear “Running isn’t a sport,” or “I could do that.” I was surprised when he said that pain is desired. I’ve never been able to figure out why I like to run, but I think he is right whe he says “Pain is our addiction.” Just reading this article makes me want to get out on the road and run.
